Day 2 of Cyber School

The video starts with the Spartans invading Athens and burning Athenian farmland. Athenians had to watch behind the city walls. Because they were stuck behind city walls, a disease started to spread around Athens very quickly. It was so bad that people stopped caring about religion and laws and didn't see the point in being morally good. Pericles eventually got sick with the plague.  In an attempt to cure the disease people relied on potions and magic. In 429, after 6 months of being sick, Pericles died. His death had consequences on Athens. Without a single leader, men fought to gain power. Pericles' successors followed what the people wanted just to gain power. There was a chance that Athens would turn into a mob-ruled land.
